Secluded Inn nestled in beautiful countryside
This Inn has a stunning location on a lake within the rolling hills of the interior of Portugal. The hospitality is wonderful and we were treated like family with great home-cooked meals, tasty local wine and great company. We also did some wonderful birding within that region with the owner. A PLACE FOR US
We were married in November and our 2 weeks at the Quinta in Spring was our honeymoon. We had chosen carefully, wanting a friendly family atmosphere,a good guide to take us birding on 3 of our days and also time to be alone. We also sought home cooking with a local flavour.

What we got was beyond our wildest dreams.

Ann and myself couldn't beleive there was such a paradise left in Europe. It's seclusion helps. The lake helped us to feel meditative and any stresses we arrived with just dropped off us. We were shown to our honeymoon suite with its CASA PRIVADA sign on the wooden door in a wall leading to our private garden and terrace. Being March, a few nights were still chilly but no problem. Frank McClintock had provided plenty of wood for our old homesteader type wood burner. Whatever we wanted was provided. Ann savoured her afternoon tea while in the evening we wined and dined in true relaxed style. There was so much wildlife to see and hear. We will be back. (david healey)
