Le Château Famaey est une entreprise familiale qui travaille dans un esprit traditionnel, combiné à une infrastructure moderne. Le travail de la vigne et l’élevage du vin, guidé par une philosophie basée sur le respect de la nature, limite au maximum l’utilisation d’additifs chimiques pour obtenir un vin le plus naturel possible.
La mise en bouteille au château, dans le respect du terroir, garantit l’authenticité de ces vins uniques, au rapport qualité prix excellent.
Nous sommes deux flamands, Luc Luyckx et Marc Van Antwerpen qui, passionnés par le vin de Cahors avons repris en l'an 2000 le Château Fontaynes, le rebaptisant Château Famaey. Nous avons aussitôt investi dans tout ce qui concerne la qualité du terroir et du vin. Nous travaillons nos vignes et notre terroir avec un maximum de respect pour la nature afin d'obtenir un produit le plus naturel possible. Pour atteindre une qualité exceptionnelle nous travaillons avec les meilleurs conseillers et oenologues de l'appellation A.O.C. Cahors.

Presentation of the winery
We are two Flemish men, Luc Luyckx and Marc Van Antwerpen, who are passionate about Cahors wine. In 2000, we took over Château Fontaynes and renamed it Château Famaey.
Immediately after, we began to invest in everything related to the quality of the terroir (land) and the wine. The soil is worked without the use of chemical products in order to obtain a product that is as natural as possible.
To achieve wine of an exceptional quality we employed Yves Lafon as maitre de chai (oenologist). With his 30 years of experience, he is one of the best in the Cahors region.

Beschrijving van de wijnboerderij
Wij zijn 2 Vlamingen, Luc Luyckx en Marc Van Antwerpen. , Gepassioneerd in de wijnen van Cahors deden wij in 2000 een overname van Chateau Fontaynes en veranderden de naam in Chateau Famaey.
Onmiddellijk hebben we geïnvesteerd in de kwaliteit, zowel van de wijnbodem als van de wijnopbrengst. Hierbij wordt gewerkt zonder chemische producten en pesticiden teneinde het eindproduct op een natuurlijke wijze te realiseren.
Om een uitzonderlijke kwaliteitswijn te bereiken hebben we Yves Lafon als 'maitre de chai' (oenologist). Met zijn 30 jaren ervaring behoort hij tot de beste van de Cahorsstreek.
Het resultaat mag er zijn: we hebben verschillende onderscheidingen en medailles gewonnen met onze kwaliteitswijnen. Neem uw tijd en bezoek onze website.
