Jean Berthet-Bondet comme son épouse Chantal ne sont pas issus d'une vieille famille de vignerons.Jean a décidé très tôt de suivre un autre itinéraire que celui tracé par son père. Ce furent d'abord des études d'agronomie à Montpellier où il rencontra son épouse puis une expérience de coopérant chercheur au Népal où il apprit à mieux connaître zébus, buffles et yacks. Cet attachement au travail de la terre finit par se concrétiser en 1985 par un apprentissage puis une installation à Château-Chalon.

Notre caveau situé dans une cave du XVIème siècle vous est ouvert du lundi au samedi de 10h à 12h et de 14h à 19h sur rendez-vous.

: A proximité de la cave, cette ancienne ferme a été utilisée jusqu'en 2005 comme remise à matériel. Aménagé avec 4 chambres pour une superficie totale de 200 m2, ce gîte peut accueillir jusqu'à 12 personnes.Classé 3 épis, il peut également héberger une personne à mobilité réduite.Chaque chambre est dotée de sa propre salle de bain.Cheminée, chauffage central, terrasse, téléphone, TV, Hi-Fi, lit et chaise bébé, barbecue, mobilier ancien, stationnement aisé .... sont les autres atouts de ce gîte plein de charme.
Presentation of the winery
Jean Berthet-Bondet, like his wife Chantal, does not come from a long line of winemakers. Jean decided very early that he did not wish to follow this particular path, and so pursued a course in agronomy at Montpellier, where he met Chantal. Instead of following the traditional period of military service required in France, Jean became a "cooperante" and worked as a researcher in Nepal, where he learned how to better recognise zebu (wild oxen), buffalo and yaks! He completed his period of working the land in 1985 with an apprenticeship and then settled at Chateau-Chalon.
