Delightfull Meditteranian&Balkan winebar-restaurant and caterer (or 'marketplace' as they prefer to call it). The discovery of my New York trip. Unfortunately it was not possible to eat there every day (wanted to do some sightseeing besides dining and drinking in this wonderfull relaxed atmosphere). Lovely owner who is happy to guide you through all the delicioushness Balkanika offers. Everything was prepared and served with care and of the best taste. But I loved the bureks the most (handmade filo dough stuffed with fillings of your choise)!
Lovely not to expensive wine list. But to me there was no need to go further than the selection of housewines: a number of great tasting European wines for 6$/glass.
From the other guests I heared that this place is treasured by the New Yorkers. I understand why!
Go there and bring me back some baklava!

Lovely wineshop and shop assistance. All with a non-conventional, artistic but accessible vibe.
Wow, this description sounds complicated. I am only trying to express that I liked the breath of fresh air that seemed to go through this shop and its winecollection.
Wish I could have spend more time here and discover/learn a bit more.

Local winestore, part of a bigger chain: AOC fine wines.

Two story winestore with wide variety of wines in every pricerange, knowledgable and friendly staff and lots of accessories and 'gadgets' (wineglasses, corkscrews, a sett to remove the wine-eticket from the bottle, all sorts of stuff to identify your glass, ...)

Wine shop, that sometimes organises winetastings in restaurants. Besides the obvious reason to taste great wines, this is also done to help you combine wine with food.

Lovely wineplace with a wide selection of wines (8-15$) and a short description per wine (which always comes in handy for a wine-illiterate like me). The staff kindly pointed out that it was still happy hour (from 5-7pm) and that there was a selection of 3 wines at half price.
There was a little menu with lots of interesting appetizers. The homemade potato chips were a bit dissapointing but the crostinis where great.

All the wines are classified in a number of tastgroupes (fizzy, juicy, bug, sweet, ...), with even a 'kosher' collection. After a nice chat with the shopkeeper it became clear that the vision of this store is to help you find the right wine without any fuss. As soon as you can identify the different tastgroups and your preference, your sett. And to help you find your taste, they organise winetastings (unfortunately not when I was there) and have always a few bottles ready for tasting when you enter the shop. What is even more attractive is that all the bottles are 15 dollars or less!
But they also offer a selection of the best wine values of all price ranges.

Super hip bistrootje op het hoogste punt van Stavanger waar je wijn per kilo koopt!
Je kiest je wijn (en dus ook de prijsklasse), waarna je glas op een weegschaal wordt geplaatst en je op de teller kan volgen hoeveel elke toegevoegde druppel/gram kost. Als je aan je budget limit zit, roep je stop.
Ter info Chardonay was 500 NOK per kilo (met 1Eur=8NOK). Maar wel heel lekker.

Schitterend gelegen eind 18de eeuws landhuis.
Fantastische design kamers en hartverwarmende service.

Gezellig restaurant met typische Belgische gerechten: stoofvlees, stoemp met saucisse, mosselen, ... van heel fijne kwaliteit. De obers zijn echte Brusselaars (tweetalig en met een zalig gevoel voor humor).
In het weekend best wel reserveren!
