Travelling around the Rioja, you're sure to be drawn to the stunning architecture of this winery. A visit here can be quite short (compared to the immense Campo Viejo) but the tasting club with views over the nearby hills, collection of unusual glassware and lofty tasting room where you can get a tasting of chocolate and wine are well worth the trip. The winery has 18000 visitors a year - its no surprise.
For anyone in the wine business, a trip to this cellar is a must. The scale is something that you just can't imagine (they produce 12m bottles per year and farm 4700 hectares) and the organisation, precision and attention to detail is staggering. The staff are also fantastically friendly and helpful. Great way to get to get another view on what wine-making is all about. #campoviejo
